This is my definition of sightseeing.
I couldn’t eat most of the food sold on the city streets, but oh I could thoroughly enjoy them.
the scents
the colors
the sounds
the blast of heat from the grills
I could have eaten these and many other incredibly fresh fruits and vegetables at the Farmer’s Market.
But I was a little full by this point in our trip.
What gluten-free goodies did I eat?
Coming soon…

Oh how I would love to sightsee with you!
A kindred spirit! I seriously came home without a single touristy picture! Times Square? No picture. Central Park? Nope. Just food…and my adorable husband.
Agreed–I plan vacations by where I want to eat!
It’s one of my favorite things about traveling!
Heather – would you be interested in hosting a month of my blog carnival, ‘Go Ahead Honey its Gluten Free’? I still have some months left for the coming year and I’d love to have you host one if you have the time. I need to post the list of hosts next weekend, so get back to me as soon as you can if you’re interested.
Free months at the moment are December, January, February and March 2012. Pick a theme related to one of those months and email me at:

Yesssssssss!
Oh you should’ve tweeted me, I could’ve given you a GF tour. Did you go to the new gluten free store? Can’t wait to hear more.
I know!!!! I would have loved that! I’d love a gf tour and would love to meet you too. Next time for sure! You probably wouldn’t have approved of some of my indulgent food choices. (Hee hee!) I did thoroughly enjoy Pure Food and Wine and Candle. WOW, amazing vegan eats! I googled and couldn’t find the gf store. Where is it???
You have the most wonderful attitude, Heather! I’m so with you on this approach to enjoying the sights and smells even if we can’t enjoy all the food. So many would whine about not being able to eat this and that, but it’s not a big deal. Love that you truly embrace life while being gluten free!
xo,
Shirley
