Crazy for Kale!

Crazy for Kale!

It’s no secret. I’m absolutely crazy for kale. I blend it into smoothies, chop it into salads, and dehydrate it into kale chips all the time. That’s why I’m so excited to have my hands on a copy of Hallie Klecker’s new ebook Crazy for Kale. Hallie, author of Daily Bites, creates delicious recipes that are clean, refreshing, and so good for you. And what could be better for you than kale?

I couldn’t be more excited to have 40 new gluten-free, dairy-free recipes that are packed with my favorite green! Of the 40 recipes, 33 are grain-free/paleo, and 31 are vegan or have vegan options. So this is a perfect cookbook for our family.

Here are just a few of Hallie’s kale recipes that I will be making soon:

  • Orange Greensicle Smoothie
  • Kale Salad with Goji Berries & Maple Roasted Almonds
  • Sweet Potato & Kale Balls
  • Lemon Sesame Kale Chips
  • Avocado Kale Slaw
  • Chocolate Buckwheat Brownies – Yes, there’s kale even in her desserts!

Check out what these kale experts had to say about Hallie’s book. Some of them even shared their own kale recipes:

    Hi Heather,

This book looks great. I too love kale, but it doesn’t agree with me (the downside of having a compromised digestion). I can eat it in very small amounts. Perhaps the best way for me to get the benefits of kale is to juice it, so that’s my favorite way I gather. Although I do love it sauteed or just raw in salads (but in great moderation). :-)

  2. Oh awesome! This is a kale-icious post =)

I’m a kale lover too, and currently obsessed over finding kale soup recipes (got a little tired of blending them into smoothies). Does Hallie’s book contain many soup recipes?

  4. I am a kale fanatic too! Thanks for posting about this book.

a whole kale ebook- exciting. I’m a kale smoothie/kale salad person currently enjoying cocoa kale chips as a snack/sweet treat. Like your kale/nori salad suggestion, will try that soon. Hope you’re well. I’ve been a bad blog reader of late.

A Curious Girl in the Gluten-Free World

I'm a curious girl, wife, teacher, fitness fanatic, gluten-free foodie, high-raw vegan, and Mama Cat living in NYC. I've made the transition from baking and cooking gluten-free to creating raw vegan recipes that are naturally gluten free. My gluten intolerance opened up my diet to a whole new world of nutritious plant-based foods. While I'm not 100% vegan, it's my favorite way to eat, and making and sharing raw foods makes me giddy. Living in the City has its joys and challenges, and I enjoy sharing my experiences with you.
